Former president now Manila Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada declares the holiday, which gives city employees a 5-day holiday this Holy Week.

NO WORK ON HOLY WEDNESDAY. Manila city government offices will be closed beginning April 1, Holy Wednesday.

Former president now Manila Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada has declared April 1, Holy Wednesday, as a non-working day in city government offices.

Radio station dzBB reported that Estrada’s media officer relayed the mayor’s directive on Tuesday, March 31.

Under Proclamation No. 831, dated July 17, 2014, days of Holy Week deemed as regular holidays in 2015 are April 2, Maundy Thursday; and April 3, Good Friday.
